It's All About Him!

Our Beliefs

Vision Statement

Eastwood Baptist Church is committed to making Jesus Christ known in relevant ways in order to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Mission Statement

Eastwood Baptist Church exists to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by
  • Evangelizing - reaching the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ
  • Educating - maturing believers into faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Exalting - through worship to give the Lord the glory, praise, and honor due His name
  • Edifying - to encourage believers to grow in Christ likeness in both word and deed
  • Equipping - to equip the church to do the work of the ministry through missions and service

As a Southern Baptist Church, we accept the Baptist Faith and Message, as revised in 2000, as our statement of faith.

The Baptist Faith and Message is not a creed.  Historically, Southern Baptists do not believe in creeds; howerver, "Baptist churches, associations, and general bodies have adopted confessions of faith as a witness to the world and as instruments of doctrinal accountability."4  The purpose of the Baptist Faith and Message is to identify and affirm "certain definite doctrines that Baptist believe, cherish, and with which they have been and are now closely identified."5
