Eastwood was started on the faith of twenty believers and celebrated its 50th year in 2003! Mr. and Mrs. Sam Todd and the others (then attending First Baptist Church in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky) were led to establish a church in the eastern section of Bowling Green. Mr. Todd purchased the house at 517 Nutwood Street for the purpose of housing the fledgling church and on November 25, 1953 Eastwood met there and held its first worship service as a constituted church.
Through the years Eastwood has had periods of great growth and at other times experienced some "growing pains" that go along with growth. Many church buildings have been added including the beautiful 1,000 seat sanctuary the church now worships in. As the ministries continue to expand there is anticipation of future growth to meet the needs of ministering to an ever growing church family. With all of the changes that have taken place at Eastwood the church holds true to its foundational core beliefs in missions, evangelism, and discipleship.
Eastwood is home to a diverse body of committed believers of all ages. There are also a variety of ministries to help each person become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. These ministries help equip the believer to be what the Lord desires and at the same time provides an outlet for the exercise of each persons spiritual gifts.
